BOOKINGS

Our secure online booking system offers a quick and convenient way to check availability and make your booking. Best price guarantee – remember that direct bookings made by telephone or directly from this website are £5 per night cheaper than on third party online websites and you get extra benefits like earlier check in time of 3pm; later check out time of 10.30.
Please note, if you have made your booking via a third-party website (e.g. Booking.com), your contract of booking is with us and not them, and therefore our detailed Terms & Conditions will take precedence and you are bound by these automatically.
We advise that you take out a suitable insurance product to cover against unexpected events that may result in a cancellation.
Y Garth has a free cancellation policy which is up to 7 days prior to arrival. We charge your first night’s stay as a deposit at the time of the booking. Should you cancel your stay after the deposit has been taken the sum of £5 will be deducted for administrative costs (card transaction fees etc). The balance is payable 7 days before arrival when the cancellation policy kicks in. With the cheaper non-refundable rate plan full payment is taken on booking. All discounted rates are not changeable and are non-refundable. Occasionally we may accept a 1-night booking, in such cases, 100% deposit will be taken on booking.
Non-arrival (no-show) for a booking will be treated as a cancellation and the full booking value will be charged, regardless of the reason – you will be advised to claim against your travel insurance.
4pm is classed as check in time for the purposes of cancellations.
Should you have ordered any additional extras, and then later wish to cancel any or all of them you must do so at least 48 hours in advance, to avoid being charged.
Should it become necessary for US to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Our liability will not extend beyond this condition.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking. Please check this carefully – it is your responsibility to contact us immediately if any details are incorrect. We are not responsible for any details you have omitted to tell us and not bound to keep your booking if our property is not suitable for you (e.g. you arrive with a dog, or a child, wanting a twin room if originally booked a double or can’t manage the stairs).
Should you need to curtail your stay and leave earlier than planned, the total value of your entire stay will still be due.
TERMS & CONDITIONS

Double/Twin Rooms: The prices at Y Garth B&B offer value for money and are based on two people sharing a double/twin bedded room and include Joyce’s renowned award winning breakfasts.
Minimum Stay is two nights and minimum of three nights on bank holiday weekends, although this may be varied at our discretion.
Check in for direct bookings is between 2pm and 7pm (5pm for third party websites). Please telephone to let us know if you are delayed so we can ensure we are available for your arrival. We appreciate our guests leaving by 10.30 (10am for third party bookings). If an earlier check in time than 2pm is required the previous night should be booked as well. Check out is by 10.30am on departure day (10a.m. for third party bookings).
Payment: The balance of your invoice is payable 7 days before arrival and will be taken automatically off the card details you supplied us with on booking. We reserve the right to charge your card as detailed in our cancellation policy in the event of a no-show or should the booking be cancelled by you within 7 days of check in. By entering into this contract you are authorising us to make these charges without additional consent being required.
Prices: We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.
Car Parking: A small car park is available at the front of ‘Y Garth’. Parking is free. Cars and their contents are parked at owners’ risk.
Change of Room: We reserve the right to transfer a booking to a room of the same quality where circumstances are outside of our control or at our discretion.
Damage and Breakages: You are responsible and liable for any damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We reserve the right to charge the full replacement cost for any item removed from the room, and this can be done after departure. Items such as towels, robes, hair dryer, alarm clock etc are there for your use in the room and enjoyment during your stay. Bathroom towels are NOT to be taken out of the room – please bring your own Beach towels!
Dogs: We do not accept dogs.
Keys: You have access to the B&B and your room throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys, or keys not returned, will be charged at £30 per set.
Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party, your vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
Lost Property Any lost property items will be disposed of at the end of the subsequent month after which the visit took place. Should you wish an item to be returned to you, a minimum charge of £10 will be charged to cover postage, packing and administration (usually payable by BACS). It is your responsibility to contact us should you think you may have left an item behind. Items sent will be by the cheapest method available.
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted within any part of ‘Y Garth’. Please note that offending guests will be asked to leave immediately and a deep cleaning fee of £100 will be charged to your account. Further, the rest of your stay, should this apply, will be non-refundable. This will be applicable, even if discovered after your departure. Please note that vaporizers and e cigarettes are included in the above smoking policy.
Wireless Internet Access is provided free of charge throughout the house.
Termination Policy: Y Garth reserves the right to terminate without notice an individual’s stay when deemed necessary, if a guest exhibits unacceptable behaviour, including actions which are likely to endanger or offend others, and/or for non-compliance of our non-smoking policy. In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, and if prepaid, no refunds will be made.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between yourselves and ‘Y Garth’. As a small business cancellations have a significant impact. We often have to refuse other booking because the rooms have been reserved by those who subsequently cancel. We do however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
More than 7 days notice – no charge (Free cancellation).
Less than 7 days notice – your deposit will not be refunded. We strongly advise our guests to take out suitable holiday cancellation insurance to cover their stay for any unforeseen circumstances.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking in the event of any cause beyond our reasonable control which prevents us from meeting our obligations in connection with your booking. In such an event we will refund any payments you have made to us, in full. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
